SHOX2 & PTGER Epi proLung® lung cancer detection test

Epi proLung® lung cancer detection test

Sensitivity, %   78

Specificity, %   96

Epi proLung® - liquid blood-based biopsy test for lung cancer detection from DNA extracted from plasma. Diagnosing lung cancer remains challenging and represents a highly unmet medical need. Lung cancer risk factors include patient life history, and/or presentation with symptoms, and/or radiological findings in the lung.
Radiological screening methods suffer from a high false positivity rate and therefore complementary confirmatory diagnostic methods are urgently needed. A reflex test that clarifies indeterminate findings will aid in earlier identification of illness, improved outcomes, and lower costs of treatment by reducing unnecessary procedures.

  • Epi proLung® is based on a combination of proprietary Epigenomics DNA methylation biomarkers SHOX2 and PTGER4. The product has received CE-IVD mark in Europe.
  • Clinical performance was assessed in a validation study comprising data from clinical specimens from consented patients enrolled at sites in the US and Europe. The epigenetic diagnostics test discriminates malignant from non-malignant disease with AUC = 0,73.
  • Test results should be ordered and interpreted by a healthcare professional.

Lung EpiCheck lung cancer blood test

Lung EpiCheck is a simple blood test that detects lung tumor DNA circulating in the blood. The test detects subtle disease-specific changes in DNA methylation markers. Lung EpiCheck is an objective molecular test meaning that it does not rely on human interpretation. The result is a clear positive/negative result, with an additional numerical result between 0-100.
